In addition to adding import from SkyDrive, it would be nice to import a .opml stored locally on a device
Local .opml file import3 votes
OPML files can now be imported and exported to the local file system in Windows 8.
I would like to be able to read a series of articles while staying in the expanded (full screen) article view in the Windows 8 app. Please add buttons for next article and previous article in the expanded view.6 votes
Next and previous article buttons are now available in the expanded view, and also when the app is snapped.
On the WP version of RSS, the feeds are accessible by subject just by scrolling to the side. I imaging this isn't as easy to do in Win8, but it would be nice to have some way to separate feeds by category. When I open the program, I'm usually interested in some subject at the moment: news, finance, windows or windows phone, or general tech. I'd like to be able to choose which group to view.
BTW, Thanks for starting the import/export feeds to Skydrive.8 votes
A category filter is now present at the top of the subscriptions list, and this can be used to select the type of subscriptions that you want to see.
Would be great to see RSS Central come to Surface with the same features as Windows Phone, would fit in beautifully.1 vote
RSS Central for Windows 8 is now available from the Window Store — see http://www.adamdawes.com/windows8/win8_rsscentral.html for details. I hope you like it!
Some articles have bigger and some smaller fonts in the preview. Some are too big some are hard to read. I would like the font to be uniform size as set in settings such as in Weave rss reader7 votes
This should be pretty well resolved in the latest build of RSS (v2.12). If you find any feeds that still have unexpectedly large or small fonts in the article previews, please drop me an email and let me know the subscription URLs. Thanks!
I eventually tried this and found that putting the “mark all as read” button on the application bar made it much quicker to use. It took a week to retrain my brain, but after that I think it’s much better. I hope you all agree once you’ve got used to it!
Some of my feeds are just images - e.g. Dilbert comics. It'd be great if I was able to set images to automatically fill the space, or width of the screen, in portrait and landscape, in addition to the current zoom implementation.
Should be better in RSSC v2.12. (If not, please email me a subscription URL that exhibits the problem, thanks!)
RSS Central already supports importing and exporting subscriptions in .opml format to a DropBox account, but it would be great to be able to use SkyDrive as an alternative to DropBox.89 votes
SkyDrive support is now available in both the Windows Phone and Windows 8 versions of the app.
